Yeah, this is “satire,” apparently. I particularly enjoy the pseudo-Angela-Davis look they have going for my not-so-secret lady crush, Michelle Obama. Everyone knows that black women with Afros are scary!
If you see the planet, tell it that I am in a fight with it, and I will not be taking any of its calls.

This whole controversy makes my thinker hurt. Part of me is saying, “teachable moment, teachable moment!” Why don’t we all sit down and talk about the symbolism in play, including, for example, the depiction of the Afro and the whole long line of issues surrounding African American hair that this invokes?
But the part of me that is winning out is basically saying, OMG, people are dumb, I’m going into hiding until November. Or maybe January.
